Starting to use a
flash drive First time use Use START>My Computer to see a list of drives Put the flash drive into a spare USB port. and watch for the hardware to be recognised and show as a new drive letter in the list RENAMING IT We suggest doing this because if several of them, which look identical, are plugged into the club PC hub at the same time, we want to give the correct ones back to their owners! Use the right mouse to click on the new drive name Select RENAME from the choices The initial name given to the flash drive by the manufacturer will be highlighted You do not need to delete this, just start typing the new name. We SUGGEST your initials plus house number –e.g JH 229. Use the ENTER key to finalise the process
